SwitJeremy Dinner Event - Khoon Chai's Photos

Lest you think this blog is dead and gone.
And you and friends come together to mourn.
Let me tell you that I am still here.
Still the same, not going anywhere.

I was just busy organising a dinner show
The wedding dinner of Swit, you know?
The lucky husband is Jeremy Cheong
His best man I heard is Chew Kok Keong.

I would not be back with a vengeance though.
Posting now and then just to show
I am still alive, kicking and drinking
Whatever liquids you want to be buying.

The best photos, I've seen so far
Is from Khoon Chai, a latent star
I stole some photos from Facebook
Which he posted up for us to have a look

Here goes ... More to come, I think?

Ladies and Gentlemen, My name is Nelson Fabian and you will come to know that you will have to bear with me for several times this evening.

You know what you are here for and I shall not insult your intelligence by having to explain to you why you are here and who is getting married. I would like however for you to focus your attention on this stage for a large part of an hour and a half and after which focus on whatever turns you on. We have some guest artistes and 2 very special guest artistes tonight and I advise that they have a drink or two to loosen up. Just do not get drunk. We'll need you later on, in this one over hour or so.

For your information, the organising families have asked to inform you that as a small part of their contribution on shark conservation, no sharks' fins will be served this evening. The families asked for your understanding.

I understand that the name of the band here is called Rade. It is spelled R A D E. It means Really Awesome and Definitely Entertaining. Just kidding guys, I do not know what it means.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please allow me to introduce to you the various members of Rade.

On vocals is Chit, a very young and talented singer/composer. (Chit says: Thank you thank you)

On guitar ladies and gentlemen, the cool handsome type person is Kok Keong. (some riffs is played)

On bass is the awesome Hung Siew. Slap the Bass Man. (some thumping bass)

And last but not least is the man of the hour, also on the guitar is Jeremy. (some guitar plays).

The first of the two original songs of the band coming up is "She Made Me Smile". And I know what should make you smile. Before the song is over, you should be seeing your Dinner coming up.
.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please give it up for Rade.

Rade goes into She Made Me Smile.

Three minutes into the song, waiters come parading in with the First Dish.

Song finishes. Dinner is served.

1st break - 20 minutes

PART TWO

Nelson Fabian is on stage again.

The band Rade too ascend the stage.

I was asked to show you this picture. (A picture was flashed on the big screen showing Brenda, Jeeneze and Angela).

Well, this picture was taken 20 years ago in 1989 in Canon Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd. Well, all 3 of them are here this evening to grace this Dinner Event.

Can I have them standing up for us to have a look. They were the Personnel Dept then in Canon. They did all the work, I hear. The Personnel Manager then Mr Andrew Kong was just there for show. (Hopefully, people lol)

One of these ladies will be here now to do a number on you.

I was told Jeeneze is doing the number with her son Edmund.

You could easily mistook them for a pair of brother and sister.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please. A big hand for Jeeneze and Edmund.

Jeeneze steps up on stage with Edmund.

Jeenese speaks.

Yes time flies. Used to be when friends get married. Now it is friends' kids getting married. Once again, I would like to congratulate the lucky couple tonight. Also the lucky parents as well.

Edmund and I will be doing this song coincidentally also called Lucky. I hope you like it.

Jeeneze and Edmund sing Lucky. Song finishes. Jeeneze speaks.

The sister of the bride is called May and I understand she is part of a duo called MoBiCo and ladies and gentlemen, may i present MoBiCo.

MoBiCo steps up on stage.

MoBiCo performs a Mandarin number.

May speaks in mandarin.

Hi, my name is May and I am the younger sister of Swit, the lucky bride. She has already promised me that in my wedding next time, Rade will perform as well. Hahaha.

I am going to introduce my dad to you now and I am going to force him to sing a song. For a change, I would like to hear him sing a song outside the bathroom.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my father Mr Low Sai Kok.

Mobico remains on stage.

Mr Low Sai Kok sings. Song finishes.

Mr Low speaks in Cantonese.

This evening is the first time I met Bobby. I heard he is a very good singer.

Bobby comes on stage.

Mr Low: Hey Bobby, can I ask you a question?

Bobby: Mo Mun Tai

Low: When you learn how to speak in Cantonese, do you first learn the bad words first?

Bobby: Of course not. Yat ding mm hei ler, Court Chinese girls, how to use bad words. Kow Tong Mui, dim hor yee kong cho how ahr?

Low: Thank you Bobby.

Okay Bobby's song coming up. I heard he is going to make you sweat. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr Bobby!.

Bobby sings Sweat. Bobby finishes.

Stanley steps up to the mike, pat Bobby on the back and speaks.

A good friend and a great singer.

When I first saw Jeradyne coming out into this world, she was only this big (show size with the palms of both hands held approx. 1 foot apart). Ugly looking thing. But look at her now.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present my daughter Jeradyne.

Jeradyne steps up to sing You Belong with Me. Jeradyne finishes.

Jeradyne speaks.

Thank you Thank you. The next song that I am going to do is the soundtrack of Twilight. It is by Paramour and is called Decode.

If you are a friend of my dad, I can understand that you have absolutely no idea of what I am talking about.

From a non-fan of Twilight, here goes ..

The riff for Decode comes on and Jeradyne sings. Jeradyne finishes.

Band Rade steps down to enjoy a bit their dinner.

Nelson Fabian steps up onto the stage and speaks.

We have come to a very special part of the evening.

So Ladies and Gentlemen, on behalf of the organising commitee, we give you Laimun.

Laimun sings.

Laimun finishes.

Nelson Fabian speaks again.

With permission from Sony Records, it gives me great pleasure to present to you, ladies and gentlemen ... HAO REN

Hao Ren performs 2 numbers. Hao Ren finishes.

Hao Ren speaks in Mandarin.

Thank you, Thank you. (maybe some more things he may want to say)
